D23 Expo Day 3
Ok, I know my pass said Fri, Sat, but on Sunday morning I caved. I figured that I had the day off, and the Expo is every other year, so I should just go. And I’m glad I did.
I hit up Imagineering and the Tomorrowland booth, both of which had some really cool not so secret stuff. Behind me in Tomorrowland was Maxwell Glick from The Lizzie Bennet Diaries who was cool enough to take a quick picture with me and then Disnerd over the Expo. I also ran into brianamatopoeia and jaclynclaired in Imagineering so I’ll do a mini plug right there. I did more unnecessary shopping, buying an E-Ticket shirt. And then hit my last panel “Leave ‘Em Laughing” which was an Imagineers panel about humor in the parks.
Afterwards, I headed to DCA to grab a clam chowder bread bowl in honor of my “homies” aka my fellow Disnerds that didn’t get to go to the Expo. Also on the way in I ran into Travis Barker from Blink-182 (I didn’t stop him for a picture because he was with his kids, and I know better than that. I did say hello and tell him I was a fan though. Never miss an opportunity to interact with one of your favorite musicians of your youth.)
Overall, the Expo left me focused and inspired to go back and start creating things again, which is what I think it really is for. I can’t wait for 2015.
